Anthony was on vacation this week, so we made the trek to visit our favorite winery (Somerset Winery) again in Temecula on Wednesday. The tasting menu was fab (as always), and I was stoked to find Poppin off Du Shoppe (a GSM) on the tasting menu. GSM blends are super-complex with aromas that pop and pop and pop. Did I say pop? They pop! I savored every bit of the aroma and taste, and of course, we bought a bottle. Next time you make your way to Temecula, check them out. They are the first stop on the road and quickly became our favorite last year. Fabulous staff and awesome wine! Thank you to Steve, Nick, and Kurt for making us feel so welcome on our visit.
