This Rose from Tres Raices was wonderful! Crisp acidity with notes of strawberry and apple in the nose with subtle flower notes chiming in to say hello. With 50% Grenache and 50% Caladoc, this wine is refreshing and fantastic for a warm summer night. This was part of a shipment from the Alta Baja Wine Club that features wines from Mexico.
A shout out to our dear friend, Delilah Snell, who owns and operates Alta Baja Market on 4th Street in Downtown Santa Ana. Her shop/cafe is a favorite local spot of ours and the food is delicious and her micheladas are so refreshing and tasty that we never stop at just one. Additionally, Delilah cares so much about her customers and her staff that it’s always a delight to pop in. Sometimes, we luck out and also get to spend some time with her husband and our friend, journalist @gustavo_arellano and their 2 sweet puppers.
Delilah’s compassion spills over into her food and drink as she provides several vegan and gluten free choices for those who are food-sensitive. Check them out when you find yourself in Santa Ana.
