Shiraz is a fruit-forward full-bodied wine with the awesome black pepper finish I favor in wine. The Australian Shiraz is more fruit-forward than a French Syrah due to the warmer climate in Australia. Warmer climate = super-ripe fruitier grapes. The medium high tannins coupled with medium high acidity mean this wine wallops you in the face, but not for long. The black fruit-forward aroma and peppery finish make it all worthwhile!! This one? I’d rate it at 3.5 out of 5 Sips.
